Job Description: Animal Shelter ManagerOverview of Job: This position is responsible for managing and overseeing the Behavior and Partnership Programs prioritizing the mental wellbeing and quality of life for animals in our care; Areas of responsibility include animal behavior assessments, behavior modification strategies, placement of animals through transport and breed rescue, and the stewardship of our highly successful Foster and Behavior Training Programs. This position is responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement these programs. Success Criteria & Essential Skills:

• Possessing an exceptional track record within a customer service environment, this position will build strong relationships with internal and external customers maintaining the highest level of customer engagement.

Want to share the process on how the Tools of the Trade certificates are going to be distributed this year. We are moving 2021 - 2023 certificates to a different platform hosted by out website. At some point during Day 2 or 3, a page will be put up with the name everyone who attends the breakout classes. Your names will be linked to your certificate for download by the end of LACCA week.

Now remember, the only way to get a certificate is to sign in AND out of the class - pay attention & take part - then complete the test for each tool.

CHANGES TO THE BREAK OUT SERIES THIS YEAR

At this year's conference, the Break Out Series will be structured a little differently. Control Pole and OC will be taught first, followed by Expandable Baton. Much of the Officer Safety discussion will be omitted from the lectures as another speaker will be covering that topic this year. This should allow for more time for everyone's favorite part of the day - the practical applications.

A brief overview of LEDET is still scheduled to be included.
